Welcome to the Hotel du Tourmalet, Bareges, in the heart of the French Pyrenees.

Our friendly 3* hotel is a completely renovated Napoleonic building, where we combine traditional values of hospitality with modern facilities including en-suite bathrooms, a first class restaurant, café-bar and hot tub. The hotel has 19 bedrooms, all featuring flat-screen televisions, brand-new linen and furnishings, and the majority have king- or super-king size beds. Free wi-fi access is available throughout the hotel.

The high mountain village of Bareges, is situated just on the edge of the Pyrenees National Park and the Neouvielle Nature Reserve (the Lake District of the Pyrenees), and is part of the Grand Tourmalet ski resort – the largest ski area in the French Pyrenees. The hotel is an ideal base for a range of outdoor summer and winter mountain activities such as walking, hiking, skiing, cycling, canyoning, rafting, paragliding and more. All of these activities can be arranged for you through our sister company, MountainBug; the Pyrenees adventure and ski specialists.

Whether you're visiting the French Pyrenees for a weekend break, a family activity holiday, a guided adventure holiday, or just to explore the charming historic villages and stunning scenery, we'll help you make it a memorable trip. Some of our local must-see attractions include the Pic du Midi observatory at 2877m, the frontier cirques of Troumouse and Gavarnie (a UNESCO world-heritage site), the waterfalls at Pont d’Espagne and the pilgrimage town of Lourdes.
